For one day, the classrooms were quiet, the teachers took a seat, and the students took over the stage. Teachers’ Day 2026 at The BJPC Institution & Junior College was a celebration filled with music, dance, poetry, acting and, most importantly, heartfelt appreciation. Instead of teachers leading the way, it was their students who stepped forward to make the day special.
Teachers' Day 2026: A Celebration Planned for the Teachers
Teachers spend their days teaching, guiding and encouraging their students. On this special occasion, they had a chance to simply sit back and enjoy.
Students from different grades prepared performances as their way of saying thank you to the teachers who are part of their everyday journey.
The programme brought together the Secondary Section, Primary students, Junior College students, teachers and principals, making it a celebration shared across the institution.
From a “Thank You” Song to Energetic Performances
The performances brought something different to the stage.
Standard 5 presented the action song “Thank You”, combining singing and dancing to express their gratitude towards their teachers.
Standard 6 followed with a poetic recitation, while Standard 8 brought a fun and energetic mood with a dance performance.
Then came Standard 9, who presented a skit, adding humour, acting and storytelling to the celebrations.
Standard 10 Takes Centre Stage
The students of Standard 10 took on an important role by hosting the entire programme.
They also joined the performances with an energetic dance, bringing plenty of enthusiasm to the stage.
Watching students take responsibility for the programme and perform for their teachers made the celebration all the more special.
The Celebration Continued Across the Institution
The spirit of Teachers’ Day 2026 was not limited to the Secondary Section.
Primary students also delighted their teachers with singing and dancing performances, bringing their own energy and charm to the celebration.
The Junior College added to the programme with a guitar performance and dance, ensuring that students across different age groups became part of the occasion.
A Day to Make Teachers Feel Special
The programme concluded with speeches by the principals, along with a special address by Mrs. Kishori Pednekar, former Mayor of Mumbai and Opposition Leader, BMC, who had joined The BJPC Institution & Junior College as a part of the Teachers’ Day celebrations.
During her address, Mrs. Pednekar spoke about the importance and value of teachers, highlighting the significant role they play in guiding and shaping young minds. Her presence added a meaningful touch to a celebration that was dedicated entirely to appreciating educators.
But beyond the performances and speeches, the heart of the day was simple making teachers feel appreciated.
For a change, they were not the ones organising, teaching or guiding. They were simply there to watch their students perform, enjoy the moment and receive a little of the appreciation they give so generously every day.
At The BJPC Institution & Junior College, Teachers’ Day 2026 became a celebration created by students for their teachers and sometimes, that is the most meaningful thank-you of all.
